Question Pools – The National Conference of Volunteer Examiner Coordinators (NCVEC), is the organization that coordinates the creation and maintenance of the question pools from which all amateur radio license exams are created.
Element 2 (Technician) – Effective July 1, 2014 thru June 30, 2018
Element 3 (General) – Effective July 1, 2015 thru June 30, 2019
Element 4 (Amateur Extra) – Effective July 1, 2016 thru June 30, 2020
Vanity Call Signs
FCC Registration Number (FRN) – The FRN is used in lieu of your Social Security Number (SSN) when dealing with the FCC.
If you have a FRN you do not have to provide your SSN when you take an amateur radio license exam.
